Superior Credit Union is a part of your community. We care about enhancing the lives of people and making our communities great places to live and work in. As a co-operative institution, we take great pride in reinvesting in our communities to show how we care and support the capacity of future generations.
Superior Credit Union employees and members contribute time, expertise and resources in partnership with local community leaders to improve the quality of life through locally-relevant initiatives wherever we do business.
Some of the organizations that Superior Credit Union has supported include:
- Lakehead University - a 5-year commitment to the ATAC Building
- Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre - the Neo Natal Department
- Castlegreen Housing Co-operative
- EcoSuperior
- Ontario Credit Union Charitable Foundation
- Thunder Bay Community Auditorium
- The United Way - including providing a Sponsored Employee
- George Jeffrey Children's Centre
- Habitat for Humanity
- Our Youth, through:
- John Scott Memorial Award annual scholarships
- Lap Tops for Learners annual scholarships
- Co-op Young Leaders camp - supporting the kids and two staff persons
- Various sporting teams and events
In 2005 alone we contributed in excess of $30,000 in support of these, and many more, fine organizations.
I Care MasterCard
Superior Credit Union is a proud supporter of I Care MasterCard. We pay $1 for every $1,000- in retail spending on our I Care MasterCard. Donations go to the Thunder Bay Credit Union Pediatric Endowment Fund. Help us help kids!
